This is a collection of information in a website maintained by Brown University students rather than a coalition of organizations. Acronym is BEAN. Actually, the resources are dated around 2005.
This coalition had 16 members. It is no longer active. Contact Clean Water Action for more information.
The workgroup came together during the fall and winter of 2010 to focus on the development of environmental indicators for assessing and reporting on the condition of Narragansett Bay and its watershed. The group recognized and built from the long and rich history of collaborative work in the Narragansett Bay community, with contributions from many agencies, organizations, and university research labs.
This organization became Sunrise Providence sometime in 2018 or 2019.
Its mission:
"The Resilient Rhode Island Act established the Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council (EC4) in 2014. It also sets specific greenhouse gas reduction targets; establishes two advisory bodies, the EC4 Advisory Board and the EC4 Science and Technical Advisory Board, to assist the Council; and incorporates consideration of climate change impacts into the powers and duties of all state agencies."
"The EC4 STAB is charged with keeping the EC4 abreast of important developments in scientific and technical information relating to climate change and resiliency. It shall advise the EC4 regarding opportunities to provide timely support for key policy and management decisions, inventory key climate scientific and technical work being done by public-and private-sector entities, and assist the EC4 in communicating scientific and technical information to key user groups and the general public."
