A grass roots effort to preserve Hopkinton, Rhode Island's rural character. and protect our groundwater, wetlands, streams, rivers, farms and forests. This is a response to the state's announcement in 2015 of building a Welcome Center in Hopkinton on Rt 95.
Merino Park in Providence owes a lot to the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC), which organized a playground building project and many cleanups. It has a boat launch.
This defunct business was a superfund site and was located near or at Merino Park in Providence. The mill burned down in 1994 and was razed in 1997.

The Friends of the NBG and Randall Park (which is the land in between North Main Street and the cemetery proper) is a not-for-profit group recently formed to help preserve and maintain the cemetery in the future, to make it an economic asset for the city of Providence, to promote its value to the public as a historic and natural resource, and to conduct events that showcase the cemetery in various ways.
The Wild Place is located in Providence when exiting I-95 (exit 25) onto Cemetery Street, in front of the Peter Pan bus terminal, next to Collyer field.
This conservation area is under the East Providence Land Conservation Trust.
