"Funded through a grant from the USDA Forest Service’s Landscape Scale Restoration grant program, the Securing Northeast Forest Carbon Program is a cooperative effort of the State Foresters of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont to secure as much of the private forest carbon in the northeast region as possible in a 3-year period ending 2024. The focus is on working forestland carbon.
The Bryson Tree Farm in Richmond is a demonstration woodlot for the Forestry for the RI Birds Project, a program of the RI Resource Conservation & Development Council. Structural habitat conditions and a bird survey have been conducted by the Audubon Society of RI, a partner of this project.

"The program provides technical training on pruning and stewarding of young trees to residents who already have a basic understanding of gardening/plant biology or who have participated in tree planting/stewardship efforts before. It is a terrific opportunity to engage further with our urban forest and become a leader in the Providence tree community! Volunteers who complete the program are authorized to prune and maintain young city street & park trees, in accordance with PCTK policies and guidelines."

A grass roots effort to preserve Hopkinton, Rhode Island's rural character. and protect our groundwater, wetlands, streams, rivers, farms and forests. This is a response to the state's announcement in 2015 of building a Welcome Center in Hopkinton on Rt 95.
