"The Rhode Island Fruit Growers Association, made up of over 30 local farmers, has grown high quality fresh fruits and vegetables for Rhode Island for 100 years. The Rhode Island Fruit Growers Association began in 1913 with a group of dedicated apple orchardists from Providence and Kent Counties. Over the years, RIFGA has expanded to include growers of many tree fruits, as well as berries."

The ERICD strives to promote and improve long-lasting and environmentally-friendly practices that protect natural resources such as soil, water, and air.

"The Northern Rhode Island Conservation District works in partnership with private land owners, farmers, municipalities, state and federal agencies, as well as non-governmental agencies. NRICD is not a regulatory or enforcement agency, but rather provides assistance to those who desire to work as a team to face issues -- watershed by watershed."
