Young Forest Project Tour ~ July 23, 2016

Interested in creating habitat important to a variety of wildlife?

The Wildlife Management Institute, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, and our Partners, including RI Natural Resources Conservation Service, invite the public for an exclusive tour of Young Forest Habitat at Audubon’s beautiful Eppley Preserve on Saturday, July 23!

Young Forest is a habitat in decline throughout the Northeast due to development and maturing forests. Many wildlife species dependent on this unique forest life-stage for survival are also in decline. On this tour, you will get a first-hand look at forest managed in an early growth stage. Learn about the potential for creating wildlife habitat on your own land, and about financial and technical assistance opportunities available to landowners for this purpose.

Please register by July 22.

Read more about this kind of habitat on the Young Forest Project website.
