RI Coastal Access

"Our Mission is to cultivate public awareness and foster civic engagement for the preservation of Rhode Island's coastline and our state constitutional rights to shoreline access. By creating a grassroots network of individuals, organizations, agencies, businesses, and lawmakers engaged in education, advocacy, and policy making, we may better protect Rhode Island’s coastal environment, and preserve equitable public access for current and future generations.""

RI Coalition for the Homeless

"The Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness works collaboratively with advocates, providers, and faith-based organizations to create and advance lasting solutions to prevent and end homelessness. Notably, the Coalition, alongside advocates and constituents, lobbied and successfully passed the country’s first Homeless Bill of Rights in June of 2012.

RI Organizing Project

"RIOP’s works with low- income elders and adults with disabilities to improve access to health care, transportation, and community-based services. RIOP trains community residents to be active in their communities around the issues that are important to them. Community residents are trained to tell their stories, organize their friends and neighbors, and work with public officials to make policy changes that benefit the community."
