Round Marsh Restored

The Jamestown Conservation Commission gratefully acknowledges the skilled and enthusiastic collaborators who have supported our project to restore Round Marsh at Great Creek.

Chris Powell and Carol Trocki, past chairs of the commission, conceived and planned the project, developed and managed multiyear monitoring programs, and secured the competitive grants needed to fund the project from research through implementation. Commissioner Anne Kuhn-Hines has supervised the project for the last two years.

Implementation partners included the state Coastal Resource Management Council, Department of Environmental Management, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Audubon Society of Rhode Island, and Save The Bay. The NRCS also provided significant grant funding.
