Urban Agriculture - RI

City of Providence

Providence has had an Urban Agriculture movement since 2004, led by Southside Community Land Trust (SCLT) and involving many community groups, city agencies, and state entities. See the 2008 Urban Ag Task Force report.

In 2013, Lots of Hope began educating residents about growing food in the city, as well as transforming city-owned vacant lots into productive farms.
