For more than 10 years, there's been a monthly gathering in Providence for anyone interested in environmental issues to meet and mingle at a pub or business ~ or an outdoor location. This month, Groundwork Providence is sponsoring the event at their Community Garden on Ring Street, Thursday, July 21, from 5pm to 8pm. Learn about Groundwork Providence's projects and meet the latest graduates of their Green Infrastructure training program. These young adults have been learning about sustainable landscaping, stormwater and wastewater management, and have participated in numerous hands-on projects including installing a Green Roof in Olneyville and assisting with a depave and fruit orchard planting project on Westminster Street in the West End.
Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided.
